IT Project Manager BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated IT Project Manager for an opportunity in Chicago, IL Position Title: IT Project Manager Location: Chicago, IL Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: 12 Months. Job Type: CONTRACT, (Hybrid) Monday- Friday (5x8) Pay Range: $55 - $60/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description: Key responsibilities include communicating the work objectives, coordinating delivery, managing risks, ensuring compliance to standards, and providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. This role ensures execution and delivery meets the client's expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline and cost. The successful delivery lead facilitates sync points across multiple organizations to enable delivery Coordinates and facilitates routines to support technology delivery -e.g .kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc. Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies with across multiple teams. Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables. Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline. Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule. Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders. Tracks the success metrics and reviews performance with stakeholders and leadership. Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards. Supports resource planning and forecasting for delivery/execution Primary Skill - Change Managers Secondary Skill - Tableau Required Skills Financial services Middle office / Back-office processes and technology experience in a global markets space Financial services and must know about financial systems (reconciliation routines, the difference between a ledger and a subledger, etc.). Ability to manage complex project(s) simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem solving skills, excellent analytical and presentation skills; ability to synthesize complex data into actionable presentations / reports and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients Self-motivation, self-direction, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality or timelines Looking for someone who focuses on execution: they manage and understand financials for a project and are good at coordinating efforts across teams. They don't need to be a CPA but understanding accounting routines helps. Experience working/ leading Agile projects. Scrum master experience is preferred but not required.
