Join us and be part of something extraordinary!EHS Specialist IICountry/Region: USLocation: Vernon Hills, IL, US, 60061Job DescriptionAbout the Team: The well-experienced Operations team at ZF Vernon Hills is specialized for the requirements of the Original Equipment Manufacturer Service (OES) and the Independent Aftermarket (IAM). The EHS Coordinator will be on a team of 2 that works closely with remanufacturing operations, the Distribution Center, Quality Assurance, Engineering, the regional Environmental and Health Systems Team, and others to improve overall safety and achieve environmental targets. A key to success for this role, besides being an effective communicator, is being collaborative with all teams and fostering a safety-oriented culture.What you can look forward to as an EHS Specialist:

• Compile data for OSHA compliance to include all written programs, reporting, contractor compliance, plan documentation, training, and safety records including required Key Process Indicators.
• Manage Workers Compensation related issues, tracking and reporting including doctor visits and follow up.
• Develop training programs as required (including conducting training).
• Coordinate site assessments/testing for all EHS related issues (i.e., equipment installations, ergonomic assessments, air quality, noise monitoring, etc.).
• Work with suppliers for health, safety, and environmental supplies.
• Serve as representative for Corporate/Global Safety and Health related activities and reporting.
• Evaluation/management of hazardous/non-hazardous materials for health risks/exposure, proper storage, waste storage, identification, and manifesting for proper disposal.
• Coordinate Emergency Response Team including internal and external evacuations/drills.Your Profile as an EHS Specialist:
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree, preferably in Safety, Science or other technical field.
  • 2-5+ years of related experience.
  • Proven knowledge of OSHA Regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills.
  • Experience with EPA and OSHA compliance.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
